Description
The Weikav NUT87 Keyboard Kit is a barebone TKL wireless mechanical keyboard kit for builders who want a tenkeyless layout with no compromise on speed or build quality. The case is CNC-machined from solid 6063 aluminum and sandblasted to a 220-grit anodized finish, leaving a soft matte surface that resists fingerprints. Inside, a gasket-mounted PC plate, a 1.2mm single-key-slot PCB and a five-layer PORON, PET and IXPE dampening stack give every keystroke a soft, even, well-damped sound.
The NUT87 reaches an 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes (0.125ms response), and Bluetooth lets you move between devices without the dongle. A physical switch on top of the case flips between wired and wireless instantly, making this a flexible tri-mode keyboard kit for desktops, laptops and tablets. Music- and keystroke-reactive RGB runs along the top edge, with a second underglow bar beneath the Home, End, Delete and arrow-key cluster.
The ball-catch case opens without screws or tools, and pogo pins connect the daughterboard so there is no internal ribbon cable to snag. The hot-swappable PCB takes MX-style switches with no soldering, and Weikav's browser-based driver (press Fn+P) handles key remapping, macros and lighting with nothing to install. This version comes in anodized black with the knurled aluminum backplate weight.
Note: The Weikav NUT87 Keyboard Kit is sold as a barebone kit. The case, PCB, plate, stabilizers and foam come assembled; switches and keycaps are not included, so you can finish it with your own.
